Clive von Cussler is a gorgeous 3 year old German Shepherd. This big boy with the picture-perfect, German Shepherd good looks also has that classic Shepherd personality. He can be aloof around new people, sometimes looking quite serious if someone tries to swoop by. But Clive is excellent on the leash and, with a calm and confident handler, he gets comfy and spends most of his time flashing that big sweet smile of his. At home he loves to come up to you and ask for head rubs. And he is a low-to-medium energy boy so he doesn’t need miles of exercise to settle down for the night. Around other dogs, Clive is the strong and solitary type. He appreciates those who give him his space and, if one gets too pushy with him, he lets him know. Clive is very responsive to verbal commands and corrections and would love to go to a home with Shepherd experience. He needs a peaceful place that will train him with positive praise and patience, and won’t push him too much because as those with Shepherds know, well trained dogs don’t happen overnight -- and Clive is more than willing to put in the time to get there.
